Senior Engineer I - Yield Enhancement (Semiconductor)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; onsite semiconductor wafer-fab role

Annual base salary: $70,000–$110,000

What you will do

• Own product and technology yield responsibility for semiconductor wafer-fab products.
• Analyze production and engineering data to identify and resolve parametric and wafer-sort yield issues.
• Design, coordinate, and analyze manufacturing process experiments to improve yield and performance.
• Perform failure analysis using probe stations, parametric evaluation equipment, bit mappers, microscopes, and related test equipment.
• Support new product introductions, process-flow implementation, product transfers, and process change control.
• Collaborate with process, product, design, and test engineering teams while planning and completing technical projects.

Requirements

• BSEE with 5+ years of relevant experience, or MSEE with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of semiconductor device physics, transistor characteristics, and basic digital and analog circuits.
• Understanding of integrated-circuit wafer-fab manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with semiconductor parameter analyzers, oscilloscopes, curve tracers, multimeters, generators, and related equipment.
• Knowledge of statistical functions, SPC, normal distributions, Cpk, analysis of variance, and correlation techniques.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and communicate findings effectively.
