Principal Engineer Yield Engineering (Semiconductor)

Salary: $85,000–$146,000 per year

What you will do

• Drive yield and product performance for technology nodes at 45nm and below.
• Support technology transfers and high-volume production in a 300mm wafer fabrication facility.
• Investigate root causes of yield and product functionality issues using data, failure analysis, product information, design information, and device knowledge.
• Identify and implement improvements with Test, Integration, and Process Module engineering teams.
• Provide customers with weekly updates on yield status and forecasts.
• Support customer engineering and process module activities related to cost, cycle time, and manufacturing robustness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Circuit Design, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong data analysis, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of experiment design, execution, and analysis.
• Knowledge of circuit design and testing, solid-state device physics, submicron FET architectures, and the impact of electrical characteristics on yield and product behavior.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment and learn quickly.

Nice to have

• M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of semiconductor processing and process integration.
• Experience in yield engineering for high-volume production and technology transfers.
