Wire Cutter - 1st Shift

Location: Altoona, Iowa; onsite warehouse position. Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

What you will do

• Perform wire cutting with reel-to-reel and coiler machines.
• Complete order kitting, sub-assembly, parallels, and customer-specific value-added services.
• Receive, pick, relocate, put away, and load wire and pipe for delivery.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse systems for picking, packing, shipping, receiving, cycle counts, inventory, and outbound audits.
• Operate pallet movers, sit-down and stand-up forklifts, high-lift reach trucks, and order pickers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse while coordinating activities with supervisors and solving operational issues.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• At least 1 year of warehouse experience.
• At least 1 year of experience using stand-up reach forklifts, power pallet jacks, cherry pickers, or sit-down forklifts.
• Ability to read cut tags and comments, perform basic arithmetic, follow instructions, and meet productivity standards.
• Ability to work at heights up to 28 feet and lift up to 100 pounds with assistance or mechanical equipment.

Nice to have

• At least 1 year of experience in wire cutting, CNC, machine operation, or production.
• Knowledge of warehouse terminology and practices.
