Die Cutter Operator 1st Shift

Location: Cudahy, Wisconsin, United States; onsite, 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Salary: $20.00–$26.00 per hour; $2,000 sign-on bonus

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, and operate auxiliary binding and die-cutting equipment.
• Operate folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding or gluing machines.
• Adjust interconnected machine stations for vibrating, milling, roughening, gluing, covering, delivering, and stacking finished products.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues and maintain operating accuracy.
• Direct the production crew and monitor quality, output, and productivity.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of bindery machine setup, adjustment procedures, capabilities, and limitations.
• Knowledge of paper weights, sizes, types, colors, and conditions that require machine adjustments.
• Ability to use standard and specialized tools to adjust and maintain bindery equipment.
• Skill in making difficult powered-machine adjustments using hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions describing machine-operation sequences and dimensional requirements.
