Switcher Driver I

Location: On-site at fulfillment centers in Jessup, Lewisberry, Pittston, or Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania

What you will do

• Coordinate priorities with transportation and fulfillment center operations teams.
• Label, replenish, make boxes, pick orders, and load or unload trailers.
• Organize inbound and outbound orders to support accurate and efficient customer delivery.
• Operate a switcher unit for at least five hours during each 30-day period when needed.
• Move loaded and empty carrier trailers within the yard and perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
• Complete yard spot checks, report equipment conditions, communicate by two-way radio, and participate in additional training.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and successful completion of driving and knowledge proficiency tests.
• Ability to maintain internal driving and knowledge certifications.
• Safety-focused mindset, strong organization, prioritization, communication, and independent working skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays when needed.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery and work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting quality and performance standards.
• Ability to repeatedly climb in and out of trucks, walk up to two miles per shift, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds or up to 70 pounds with a team lift.
