Distribution Center Associate - 2nd Shift

Location: Portage, Michigan, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

What you will do

• Receive, place into inventory, select, pack, and ship stock accurately and promptly.
• Pick orders and restock inventory in designated storage areas.
• Load and unload trucks according to established procedures.
• Operate forklifts, hand trucks, barcode scanners, and other distribution center equipment.
• Count inventory, maintain quality and production standards, and support housekeeping activities.
• Inspect assigned equipment, follow safety procedures, and participate in meetings and training.

Requirements

• Entry-level work experience.
• Ability to use standard office equipment, computerized barcode scanners, printers, and warehouse tools.
• Basic math, reasoning, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under the direction of a supervisor or distribution center lead.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to walk, stand, climb ladders, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, pull, and push during the shift.

Nice to have

• Previous experience picking orders with an RF scanner.
• Experience operating forklifts, hand trucks, cranes, or other warehouse equipment.
