Data Architect (AI)

Location: Bristol, UK; hybrid working with attendance at the office or client site at least two days per week, potentially up to five days per week on a client site

What you will do

• Define data blueprints and architecture for complex client programmes.
• Architect end-to-end data platforms covering ingestion, orchestration, governance, security, cost optimisation, and observability.
• Translate business needs into scalable, resilient, and secure data solutions.
• Lead engineering teams and take ownership of end-to-end assignment delivery.
• Lead bids, identify new opportunities, and contribute to business growth.
• Set technical direction, develop best practices, and support the growth of newer team members.

Requirements

• Hands-on data experience, including leading engineering teams delivering applications and services.
• Practical understanding of data architecture and delivery methodologies.
• Ability to work across the data domain and understand the impact of AI on solutions and delivery.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, client-facing, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Experience with leading cloud and data platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

• Certifications in relevant methodologies and cloud technologies.

Hiring process
