Financial Analyst (AI)

Location: San Francisco office; fully onsite five days a week

Base salary: $150,000–$250,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Own financial models and forecasts covering revenue, hiring, compute, expenses, cash, and runway.
• Track spending, investigate variances, and update financial assumptions with accounting and budget owners.
• Forecast training and inference costs, compare vendor proposals, and evaluate capacity commitments.
• Analyze pricing, customer economics, hiring plans, and other investment decisions.
• Prepare financial updates for leadership, board meetings, and investor discussions.
• Improve reporting reliability, automate manual work, and support new finance and business projects.

Requirements

• A few years of experience in investment banking, strategic finance, or FP&A.
• Strong financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements and cash flow.
• Careful analysis, discrepancy investigation, and validation of assumptions.
• Ability to make progress independently, identify needed information, and follow through.
• Clear communication of financial changes, implications, and recommendations.
• Ability to work in person five days a week from the San Francisco office.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, usage-based businesses, or compute costs.
• SQL or Python experience.
• Willingness to learn how AI technology translates into costs and revenue.
