Senior DevOps Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States, limited to the US Eastern Time Zone

Salary: US$135,000–US$150,000 annually, plus eligibility for bonus or commission and equity

What you will do

• Operate, scale, and troubleshoot SaaS cloud infrastructure with emphasis on reliability, efficiency, and security.
• Design system-level solutions spanning multiple components and anticipate performance and scalability issues.
• Build and validate AI-assisted infrastructure automation, including self-optimizing systems, staging checks, governance, and ROI measurement.
• Improve engineering efficiency by breaking complex problems into parallel workstreams and leading design discussions.
• Establish infrastructure best practices, improve technical documentation, and mentor senior engineers.
• Provide occasional off-shift availability for production incidents or maintenance.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a DevOps or Operations Engineer in a SaaS environment.
• Extensive Linux experience, preferably with Ubuntu, Debian, or CentOS, plus Bash or Python scripting.
• Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and major cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code and tools such as Terraform.
• Experience using AI tools for infrastructure delivery, including safe validation, governance, and ROI measurement.
• Excellent written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab and configuration management tools such as Chef or Ansible.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and logging tools including Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Sumo Logic, ELK, JSM, or Groundcover.
• Understanding of network engineering and security principles, including Internet protocols, firewalls, and routing.
