TL;DR
DevOps Engineer (AWS): Designing, automating, and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines with an accent on containerized workloads, infrastructure as code, observability, and security compliance. Focus on building deployment automation, troubleshooting reliability and performance issues, managing Kubernetes and Terraform workflows, and supporting secure government environments.
Location: 100% remote within the United States; the posting lists Virginia.

What you will do
- Design, automate, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop and manage pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, and CodeBuild.
- Support containerized workloads with Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD.
- Implement observability, monitoring, logging, automated recovery, security scanning, and vulnerability management.
- Improve system availability, scalability, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency while maintaining SLAs and SLOs.
- Coordinate releases with developers, architects, QA, and transition teams, including validation, rollback preparation, and cutover support.
Requirements
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain a public trust clearance are required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; four additional years of experience may substitute for the degree.
- At least 6 years of relevant IT infrastructure experience, including 3 or more years in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure automation.
- Expertise with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, Route 53, and IAM.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
- Strong development experience with Python, Bash, or a similar language, plus the ability to work autonomously, collaborate, and mentor engineers.
Nice to have
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or another AWS specialty certification.
