Operations Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Fulton, NY, USA; regular onsite presence in office and manufacturing environments is required.

Salary: $120,000+ per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Lead daily manufacturing, shipping, warehouse, and material-handling operations to achieve plant KPIs.
• Manage staffing, resources, departmental budgets, inventory controls, and operational reporting.
• Develop department managers, supervisors, and future leaders through coaching, training, and succession planning.
• Drive safety, quality, productivity, waste reduction, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Human Resources to deliver plant objectives.
• Support the Plant Manager with site initiatives and provide leadership continuity when needed.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience managing large manufacturing operations and multi-department teams.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, team-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with manufacturing systems, ERP, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, safety programs, and operational performance management.
• Regular presence on the production floor is required, including extended periods of walking and standing in manufacturing areas.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience in packaging, printing, converting, or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Experience in a union manufacturing environment.
• Lean Manufacturing, WCO, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence experience.
