Utility Specialist (IKE)

Location: New York, NY; travel to assigned markets is required according to business needs.

hirify.global creates and operates urban media displays and smart city infrastructure through the Interactive Kiosk Experience (IKE) platform.

What you will do

• Confirm utility availability, serving utilities, likely power sources, and service feasibility during site selection.
• Prepare utility applications and service agreements and drive them through review.
• Coordinate make-ready design and construction, meter set, inspections, and final energization.
• Sequence utility work with kiosk construction and maintain the backlog of sites awaiting energization.
• Build relationships with utilities and document processes, lead times, fees, escalation paths, and requirements.
• Report on application progress, make-ready status, energization forecasts, and at-risk sites.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience coordinating electrical service or utility work for infrastructure, telecom, construction, or similar deployment programs.
• Direct experience submitting utility applications and driving service requests through energization.
• Working knowledge of make-ready, service design, metering, and inspection sequencing.
• Ability to build utility relationships, maintain strong organization, and consistently follow through.
• Experience with SiteTracker, Salesforce, or a similar project tracking system, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel according to business needs.

Nice to have

• Experience with investor-owned and municipal utilities.
• Experience with small cell, fiber, digital signage, transit, or streetscape infrastructure.
• Familiarity with electrical permitting and inspection processes.
• Experience establishing new operational processes.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
