Senior Software Release Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote — 100% telework within the United States; U.S. citizenship required.

Salary: USD $126,862–$137,269 per year

What you will do

• Design and build release processes across development, staging, and production environments.
• Develop and improve CI/CD workflows, including versioning, release gates, approvals, artifact handling, and deployment promotion.
• Integrate unit, integration, regression, security, and other automated testing into delivery pipelines.
• Establish quality gates and practical standards for test coverage, reliability, and release readiness.
• Maintain release traceability, deployment records, and visibility into changes and validations.
• Build and validate safe deployment and rollback procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field, plus 8 years of relevant experience; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Experience building, operating, or improving CI/CD pipelines for production software.
• Experience with release engineering, versioning, artifact management, environment promotion, approvals, and rollback planning.
• Experience implementing automated testing in CI/CD pipelines and applying software quality practices.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting AI-enabled or data-intensive software systems.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or another regulated environment.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code, including Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with containers, registries, orchestration platforms, or release practices across multiple engineering teams.
