Technical Manager – Mechanical Engineering

What you will do

• Lead and independently manage multiple mechanical engineering projects while maintaining technical quality, schedule, cost, and customer expectations.
• Develop and review mechanical concepts, architectures, layouts, mechanisms, assemblies, and detailed product designs.
• Perform or guide engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, design verification, and validation.
• Provide technical direction to senior engineers and act as the escalation point for complex engineering issues.
• Drive projects from requirements definition through concept development, detailed design, analysis, validation, and release.
• Coordinate with customers and cross-functional manufacturing, electrical, systems, software, quality, sourcing, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, mechanical design, or product development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong practical knowledge of 3D CAD modeling, complex assemblies, mechanism and structural design, engineering analysis, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and DFMA.
• Experience leading senior mechanical engineers, technical leads, engineering projects, and customer-facing technical discussions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, technical risks, dependencies, estimates, resources, schedules, and project deliverables independently.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, stakeholder management, mentoring, and technical decision-making skills.
