Location: Hybrid or onsite, with reporting to the main office in Mullica Hill, New Jersey; onsite work preferred. The posting also references Longmont, Colorado. Travel to customer locations, manufacturing facilities, subcontractor and supplier sites, integration sites, and test ranges is required.
Salary: $141,426–$172,000 per year.

What you will do
- Provide mechanical engineering leadership and technical authority for complex defense hardware and integrated mission systems.
- Develop and mature mechanical architectures, subsystem designs, packaging concepts, interfaces, and integration approaches.
- Oversee subcontractor and supplier engineering activities, technical data packages, drawings, analyses, manufacturing plans, and delivered hardware.
- Support integration, troubleshooting, verification, environmental qualification, field demonstrations, and production transition for radar sensors, unmanned systems, payloads, and weapons-related systems.
- Lead design reviews, risk mitigation, discrepancy resolution, engineering changes, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Support proposals, technical writing, cost estimates, customer briefings, and partner engagement.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance are required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in mechanical subsystem research, design, development, integration, testing, production transition, or technical oversight.
- Expertise in mechanical engineering, including CNC machining, CMM inspection, GD&T, additive manufacturing, extreme environments, thermal management, heat pipes, sheet metal, welding, structural design, materials, and manufacturability.
- Experience with CAD and simulation tools such as SolidWorks, Creo/Pro-E, CATIA, Siemens NX, Ansys, Altair, MATLAB, Python, or equivalent tools.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, configuration management, engineering change, documentation control, and design-release skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with defense systems, radar sensors, unmanned systems, maritime systems, weapons-related systems, or advanced payload integration.
- Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
