Senior Platform Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Provision AWS infrastructure with Terraform and configure Linux hosts in AWS and external data centers with Ansible.
• Build and operate Kubernetes clusters for shared platform services using GitOps with Argo CD and Helm.
• Build and maintain GitLab CI pipelines for infrastructure and platform services.
• Integrate corporate SSO with Microsoft Entra ID and maintain consistent user and group identities across sites and compute pools.
• Implement monitoring and alerting with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Implement encryption, key management, least-privilege access, audit logging, and support client security reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform, or Cloud Engineering, including ownership of production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including VPC, IAM, EKS, EC2, S3, and KMS, plus Terraform.
• Strong Linux administration and Ansible experience.
• Production experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Experience integrating SSO through OIDC or SAML with Keycloak and Microsoft Entra ID, plus HashiCorp Vault experience.
• Solid networking knowledge, Python and Bash scripting skills, and the ability to work independently with client IT, network, and security teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with HPC environments, including Slurm, AWS ParallelCluster, or Open OnDemand.
• Experience with Argo Workflows, hybrid storage, and data transfer tools such as NetApp ONTAP, AWS DataSync, or rclone.
• Experience in pharma, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
• AWS certifications.
