Director, AI Transformation (AI)

Location: US-REMOTE

Estimated base salary: $200K–$220K annually

What you will do

• Build and operate shared AI infrastructure, including integrations, data boundaries, model registries, single sign-on, and data-loss prevention.
• Establish AI governance covering security, privacy, approvals, and quality monitoring.
• Set the AI Center of Excellence roadmap and coordinate priorities across departments.
• Define metrics for cost, throughput, and quality, and report progress through an AI efficiency scorecard.
• Create training libraries, enablement programs, and knowledge-sharing systems with HR.
• Lead the operating model and hire, coach, and develop AI engineers, administrators, and other team members.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in technology, data, or product roles, including 5+ years leading teams.
• 2+ years working directly with AI or machine-learning systems, including modern AI tooling, agentic systems, and large language models.
• Deep knowledge of production AI infrastructure, data, security, model registries, integrations, single sign-on, and data-loss prevention.
• Experience establishing governance for security, privacy, and quality, and influencing stakeholders across a decentralized organization.
• Experience building enablement and training programs, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
