Full Stack Associate Software Engineer (UMiami Only)

Location: Miami, United States; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and able to be based in Miami.

Salary: $85,000–$115,000 annual base salary, plus equity incentive and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and ship full-stack features across React frontend and TypeScript/Node.js backend.
• Work across database migrations, APIs, interfaces, and tests with increasing ownership.
• Use AI coding agents and take responsibility for reviewing and explaining their output.
• Write tests across the stack and participate in design and code reviews.
• Build secure features for protected health information, including authentication, authorization, and audit logging.
• Question requirements, reason from first principles, and collaborate with engineers on product decisions.

Requirements

• Graduating with a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline between December 2026 and June 2027.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript and comfort with React or Node.js.
• Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and the relationship between web requests and database queries.
• Experience building independent projects, hackathon work, open-source contributions, or products with real users.
• Experience using AI coding tools and ability to assess their limitations and verify their output.
• Clear written and verbal communication, technical judgment, and comfort with ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Internship or co-op experience shipping software to production.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Express, typed API layers, or cloud providers such as AWS.
• Experience with LLM or agent APIs, testing tools such as Jest, Vitest, or Playwright, or healthcare standards such as FHIR, HL7, and DICOM.
• Background in accessibility or internationalization.
