Director of Contracts & Business Support (Robotics)

Develops commercially scalable and safe hirify.global robots, including the HMND-01 platform for industrial environments.

What you will do

• Lead commercial contracting end to end, drafting, negotiating, and closing customer, partner, reseller, supplier, and manufacturing agreements.
• Advise go-to-market and supply chain teams from deal structuring through signature.
• Negotiate technology partnerships involving revenue share and other non-standard commercial models.
• Build the contracting operating model, including templates, playbooks, delegation of authority, escalation paths, and internal processes.
• Select and implement CLM and AI-assisted contract review tooling for a high-volume contracting pipeline.
• Advise on IP ownership, licensing, confidentiality, data protection, disputes, regulatory obligations, and outside counsel management while developing the contracts team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of post-qualification experience and qualification as a solicitor in England and Wales, or equivalent, with a current practising certificate.
• At least 5 years of experience in highly regulated or safety-critical sectors such as robotics, AI, automotive, aerospace, or medical devices.
• At least 5 years of in-house legal experience and 5 years of people management experience.
• Strong experience with supply chain contracts, technology partnerships, revenue share arrangements, IP, and dispute resolution.
• Proficiency with contract management systems and AI contract review tools.
• Hands-on commercial negotiation skills and the ability to advise senior stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.

• Dual UK/US qualification.
• Experience in deep-tech, robotics, hardware, or advanced manufacturing.
• Experience implementing an AI-enabled CLM platform from scratch.
• Experience scaling a legal function through rapid commercial growth or a funding round.
