Global Security Operations Center Manager (Physical Security)

Location: Onsite full-time, 40 hours per week, at 5 Alewife Park, Cambridge, MA, USA

Expected base salary: $108,000–$186,667 USD annually, with bonus potential and early-stage equity.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day GSOC operations across all sites, ensuring consistent 24/7 coverage, on-call procedures, incident reporting, and escalation.
• Manage access control, visitor management, video surveillance, intrusion detection, emergency notification, and radio systems.
• Coordinate initial incident response and serve as the primary interface with police, fire, EMS, and other first responders.
• Develop and continuously improve GSOC SOPs, security policies, emergency response plans, metrics, and leadership reports.
• Monitor threat intelligence and prepare intelligence briefings, incident reports, and stakeholder presentations.
• Coordinate with security officers, Facilities, EHS, IT, contractors, building engineers, guests, and other third parties, including support for executive travel-risk decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminal justice, emergency management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience for L5 or 8+ years for L6 in corporate or physical security operations, a GSOC/SOC environment, law enforcement, or military service.
• Hands-on experience with access control, video management, intrusion detection, alarm, emergency notification, and radio systems.
• Experience coordinating incident response, working with first responders, and meeting requirements such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NFPA.
• Strong experience writing and maintaining SOPs, security policies, emergency plans, intelligence briefings, and incident reports.
• Must be able to work onsite full-time, 40 hours per week, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Nice to have

• Experience in life sciences, biotech, R&D, or laboratory environments.
• Threat intelligence, executive protection, travel risk management, crisis management, or business continuity experience.
• Experience with integrated networked security systems, third-party security contracts, or systems integrators.
• CPP or PSP certification and familiarity with enterprise EHS and facilities coordination.
