Physical Security Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Benson, NC, United States; onsite at a large-scale manufacturing facility and across multiple facilities. Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.

What you will do

• Own day-to-day physical security operations across multiple facilities, including cloud-managed cameras, access control, alarms, environmental sensors, and visitor management.
• Develop and maintain physical security policies, procedures, and post orders aligned with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC requirements.
• Lead investigations and responses to physical security incidents, document findings, implement corrective actions, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Manage contracted or in-house security officers, including scheduling, training, post orders, and performance management.
• Administer badges, access levels, periodic access reviews, security platforms, device provisioning, permissions, updates, integrations, and vendor relationships.
• Assess physical and environmental protection controls, maintain the physical security sections of the SSP, drive the POA&M, and recommend facility improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in physical security management, corporate security, or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or complex operational environments.
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 Physical and Environmental Protection controls and/or NIST SP 800-171/CMMC physical security requirements.
• Experience with cloud- or IP-based physical security platforms, including cameras, access control, sensors, user permissions, device health, and basic network or IT coordination.
• Experience managing contracted or in-house security officers.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Verkada or a similar cloud-managed, IP-based physical security platform.
• Experience supporting Department of War programs, federal contractors, or facilities handling CUI and ITAR/EAR-controlled material.
• CPP, PSP, or similar ASIS certification.
