Manager, IT Security (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid work schedule based at Reliable Plaza, 100 W. Anderson Street, Orlando, Florida; applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $140,760–$175,950 annually, commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Lead the IT security program and manage Cyber Defense and Threat Operations, including SOC priorities, security monitoring, and security infrastructure.
• Oversee continuous threat monitoring, alert investigation, phishing response, digital forensics, vulnerability scanning, and security log analysis.
• Develop cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, architectural references, incident response plans, tabletop exercises, and recovery processes.
• Coordinate incident response and recovery with cybersecurity, infrastructure, legal, internal audit, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Build team capabilities through coaching, accountability metrics, operational rhythms, KPIs, and structured processes.
• Manage security technology initiatives, vendor partnerships, budgets, and the transition from legacy systems to next-generation and AI-driven defense capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of IT security experience, including at least 3 years supervising and developing direct reports in an IT department.
• Experience managing SOC operations, threat detection, security monitoring, incident coordination, phishing response, digital forensics, and security log environments.
• Ability to develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, standards, and risk mitigation strategies aligned with regulatory and industry requirements.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, presentation, collaboration, and project prioritization skills.
• Must already be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CISM, or CISA certification.
• Experience with CrowdStrike, ThreatLocker, Microsoft security technologies, continuous monitoring tools, digital forensics, and CMMI.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance requirements in the utilities sector.
