National Placement Director (P&C Insurance)

What you will do

• Lead and develop placement leaders and brokers across regions and business units.
• Own and expand admitted and E&S/surplus lines insurance carrier relationships, negotiating program terms, service commitments, and contingency agreements.
• Execute enterprise placement strategy, carrier appetite alignment, go-to-market strategies, and submission quality standards.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex, distressed, and large-premium placements while supporting new business pitches and renewals.
• Monitor market cycles, capacity changes, and emerging risks, communicating their impact to leadership, advisors, and service teams.
• Drive process consistency, technology adoption, data usage, M&A integration, and disciplined follow-up on open placement matters.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance.
• Significant direct insurance company partner, wholesale, MGA, placement, or brokerage experience.
• Deep relationships across standard and E&S insurance markets.
• Property and Casualty license required; CPCU, CIC, or ARM preferred.
• Proven experience leading marketing or placement teams.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, market-trend, placement platform, and data-driven submission skills, including experience with Applied or Sagitta.
