Director of Finance (Healthcare)

Location: Remote, with core hours aligned to U.S. Eastern time

What you will do

• Build and own the financial model, including partnership economics and unit economics, and support pricing and growth decisions.
• Prepare board slides, board data packs, investor updates, and consolidated board reporting through Coefficient.
• Prepare financial materials for the Series B, manage diligence requests, and oversee equity and cap table activities.
• Own monthly gross margin analysis, revenue recognition, ARR reporting, and TPA fee corrections.
• Manage treasury, operating cash, transfers, funding needs, payroll coverage, and month-end cash sweeps.
• Oversee the outsourced accounting partner, tax filings, closed-book reviews, finance operations, and development of the Controller and Financial Analyst.

Requirements

• Strong financial modeling skills and the ability to explain and defend assumptions.
• Fundraising or transaction experience, including diligence and investor requests.
• Ability to turn financial analysis into clear narratives for executives, board members, and investors.
• Accounting fluency sufficient to review closed books, identify issues, and assess revenue and gross margin treatment; a CPA is not required.
• Careful planning, follow-through, clear communication, sound judgment, and discretion with sensitive financial information.
• Experience leading finance at a similar-sized company or transaction-focused experience such as investment banking.

Nice to have

• Experience with treasury, multi-entity accounting, outsourced accounting partners, healthcare or employee benefits, recurring revenue metrics, or people management.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks, Ramp, Mercury, Slash, or Coefficient.
