Head of Finance (Fintech)

Location: Remote (U.S.)

Salary: $200,000–$280,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A cycle for hirify.global Insurance Services, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and board reporting.
• Lead the accounting close and ASC 606 revenue recognition for MGA commission income, including treaty-year commission-rate reconciliation.
• Oversee premium trust account funding, fronting-carrier remittances, reinsurance economics, quota-share loss ratios, and commission true-ups.
• Manage financial oversight of subproducer and agency agreements and resolve remittance and commission-balance issues with agency partners.
• Coordinate audit deliverables with external auditors and partner with Fleet, Business Auto, and Non-Fleet business-unit leaders.
• Build and lead a small, high-leverage Accounting and FP&A team.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of hands-on experience across accounting and finance/FP&A in an operating company.
• Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition, ideally involving commission-based revenue models.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and execution skills.
• Comfort working hands-on with complex entity structures, processes, and operational teams.
• Prior fintech experience; insurance or financial-services experience is useful but not required.
• Must be based in the United States for the remote role.
