Lead, FP&A Business & Financial Data Analyst

Location: Boulder, Colorado; all positions must be performed within the United States, excluding U.S. Territories

Salary: $102,755–$128,443 per year

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end reporting design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and enhancement for Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning.
• Configure dashboards, calculated fields, composite reports, custom objects, prompt sets, datasets, and reporting data models.
• Translate complex financial and business requirements into reliable analytics, data visualizations, metrics, and decision-support tools.
• Administer and optimize financial applications, troubleshoot reporting and integration issues, and coordinate testing of system updates and enhancements.
• Establish reporting standards, governance practices, business definitions, documentation, and data-quality controls.
• Supervise direct reports and coordinate cross-organizational finance working groups, training, stakeholder engagement, and delivery priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a related field; graduate work is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience configuring and administering enterprise business intelligence applications, databases, and reports.
• At least 2 years of experience with Workday Financials and Workday Report Writer.
• Advanced knowledge of financial and fund accounting, business intelligence, analytics, business process modeling, reporting, and dashboard design.
• Strong technical, analytical, communication, documentation, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work within the United States and comply with U.S. export-control and work-location requirements; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, Discovery Boards, Advanced Reports, or Office Connect.
• Experience writing and executing SQL.
• Professional experience in higher education, nonprofit, or research institutions.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, waterfall, Jira Service Desk, or Microsoft Project.
