Manager, Fund Expense Administration (Finance)

Salary: $112,000–$128,000 base salary per year, plus a discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Lead a fund expense remediation and reimbursement initiative involving more than $30 million in activity.
• Manage invoice processing, approval workflows, reimbursements, payments, reconciliations, and expense reporting.
• Review fund governing documents, investment guidelines, and legal agreements to determine expense eligibility, allocation, and accounting treatment.
• Partner with Legal, Accounting, Fund Treasury Operations, Alternatives Operations, Technology, and external service providers to resolve complex matters.
• Develop reporting on expense activity, aging, allocation accuracy, reimbursements, and fund-level trends.
• Document procedures, strengthen controls, and support workflow automation, allocation tools, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in investment management, fund operations, fund expense administration, accounts payable, expense management, or a related finance function.
• Accounting and finance experience, with understanding of mutual funds, investment vehicles, or fund structures.
• Experience with high-volume invoice processing, expense administration, reimbursement operations, or fund expense oversight.
• Ability to interpret and apply legal agreements, fund governing documents, and investment guidelines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, stakeholder-management, and technology skills, including the use of automation, analytics, and AI-enabled tools.
