Maintenance Mechanic & Technician (CNC)

Location: 4930 Kraft Ave SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. Onsite, third shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Pay starts at $30.62 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy wood processing equipment, including Homag saws, CNC machines, and edge banding equipment.
• Perform daily, preventive, predictive, and productive maintenance for machinery and building systems.
• Maintain plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other facility systems.
• Communicate equipment problems and maintenance projects that may affect production quality and schedules.
• Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance records, project files, parts, supplies, and raw-material requisitions.
• Ensure facility compliance with local building and fire codes.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in maintenance-related roles involving heavy CNC-style machinery.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to use and troubleshoot hand tools and power tools and follow required PPE procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and blueprints.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at elevated heights, bend, crawl into confined spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to perform frequent standing, sitting, bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, lifting, reaching, and grasping.
