Maintenance Technician 2

Location: US - California - San Diego; onsite role with 24/7/365 on-call availability, including weekends and public holidays.

Base pay: $23.02–$34.56 per hour, plus potential variable cash compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Respond to mechanical service calls and perform repairs throughout the facility and grounds.
• Maintain and repair facility structures, office fixtures, roofs, walls, equipment, and grounds.
• Monitor, document, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including the central plant.
• Perform skilled trade work such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical maintenance.
• Read sketches, blueprints, drawings, and equipment schematics to complete maintenance work.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, provide guidance to other personnel, and support unplanned activities.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of related maintenance experience.
• Intermediate mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Intermediate plumbing experience with drainage systems, drainpipes, fittings, and fixtures in light commercial or industrial settings.
• Ability to read and understand equipment schematics and maintain accurate work records.
• Ability to operate hand tools and required equipment, work on ladders and in confined spaces, and lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work overtime, respond after hours, and support weekends, public holidays, and short-notice activities.
