Junior Recruiter (Information Technology)

Location: Hybrid in McLean, Virginia, USA; local candidates only, with required on-site attendance every Wednesday. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and work standard business hours from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST.

Salary: $55,000–$60,000 annually.

What you will do

• Support the full recruitment lifecycle from requisition intake through onboarding.
• Source, engage, screen, and present candidates for IT, cybersecurity, corporate, and federal contract positions.
• Coordinate interviews and collaborate with hiring managers, clients, Human Resources, and security personnel.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity in SmartRecruiters and other systems.
• Build talent pipelines and support proposal recruiting, business development, career fairs, referrals, and employer-branding initiatives.
• Coordinate offer letters, onboarding, orientation, and candidate processing for roles with security requirements.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and local availability to work in McLean, VA are required.
• At least two years of recruiting, talent acquisition, or staffing experience, including technical sourcing and screening.
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and applicant tracking systems such as SmartRecruiters, Workday Recruiting, iCIMS, Greenhouse, Lever, or Taleo.
• Foundational knowledge of IT and cybersecurity recruiting concepts and technical skill sets.
• Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, resume-evaluation, and follow-through skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and the ability to manage multiple requisitions while collaborating with hiring managers and HR.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience in federal government contracting, security-clearance recruiting, proposal recruiting, capture efforts, or business development.
• Knowledge of AI, data analytics, cloud modernization, enterprise IT operations, application development, systems integration, and emerging technologies.
