Business Analyst (Field Operations)

Location: Plymouth, Minnesota; hybrid or remote within the United States

Annual base salary: $73,300–$120,700

What you will do

• Partner with business stakeholders and technology teams to understand operational needs and define practical business and functional requirements.
• Document current-state and future-state processes, analyze workflows and data usage, and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, data teams, configuration specialists, and vendors on solution delivery.
• Support business applications through issue analysis, enhancement definition, prioritization, testing, and user communication.
• Coordinate system testing and User Acceptance Testing, including test preparation, defect clarification, and evidence collection.
• Support implementation planning, data validation, training materials, end-user communications, and post-implementation stabilization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Approximately 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, process improvement, application support, or related work.
• Working knowledge of requirements lifecycle management, process mapping, testing, and solution delivery.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements and communicate with business and technical audiences.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, organizational, and written communication skills.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting field service teams or related service operations.
• Experience with Astea Alliance, IFS Cloud, ERP, field service management, or other business application platforms.
• Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery methods and Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Experience with application implementations, upgrades, data migration, integrations, APIs, reporting, or master data.
