IT Business Analyst (Energy Efficiency)

Location: Remote, but candidates must be based in New Jersey, United States. The position is associated with Newark, New Jersey.

Salary: $73,770–$125,408 per year

What you will do

• Participate in requirements gathering, system design, testing, and delivery of energy efficiency tracking and reporting tools.
• Engage stakeholders to define system requirements and identify technology-driven process improvements.
• Create requirements specifications, design documents, use cases, test plans, scripts, and system documentation.
• Interpret complex calculations, build dynamic Excel models, and translate them into system configuration requirements.
• Train and support system users, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliable system functionality.
• Collaborate with project teams, present status updates, and deliver client-focused solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent related experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT project delivery or a related role.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, data analysis functions, and model building.
• At least 2 years of experience creating requirements, design specifications, test scripts, and system documentation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Nice to have

• Experience with JIRA, SharePoint, or Smartsheet.
• Experience testing software, tracking issues, and maintaining high-quality outputs.
• Knowledge of SNUGGPro.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, customer service, and collaboration skills.
