Intern - Risk Consumer

Location: Detroit, MI, United States (Hybrid); two days per week in the office

hirify.global is General Motors' captive finance subsidiary providing auto finance, leasing, and commercial lending solutions through operations across North America, South America, and the Asia Pacific region.

What you will do

• Support data analysis, validation, reporting, and portfolio performance monitoring.
• Analyze portfolio trends, business drivers, credit risk metrics, and results.
• Translate business questions into data-driven analysis and actionable insights.
• Create, update, and improve reports for internal business partners and management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners, summarize findings, and communicate results clearly.
• Prepare and deliver an end-of-internship presentation to senior leaders.

Requirements

• Current student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related field, with at least one semester remaining at the start of the internship.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, quantitative, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or in a team.
• Ability to use AI tools, evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias, and apply responsible AI practices involving ethics and data protection.
• Work visa and immigration sponsorship are not provided, including sponsorship or support for H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, or J-1 status.
