Operations Specialist (Natural Gas Pipelines)

Location: Williams, Arizona; onsite. Must live or relocate to within 50 road miles or one hour of the reporting location by the start date.

Energy infrastructure company operating natural gas transportation and storage services across North America.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain natural gas pipeline systems, compressor stations, engines, turbines, pumps, valves, seals, and related equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting, repairs, line locating, excavation monitoring, pipeline patrols, surveillance, and stakeholder interactions.
• Support operational projects, inspections, audits, contractor safety training, and visitor safety orientations.
• Identify and correct safety and environmental concerns while following emergency response procedures.
• Develop site-specific procedures and work plans, including Lock Out Tag Out and Hot Work documentation.
• Respond to after-hours callouts and work extended hours or overtime in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer, mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently, follow procedures, and collaborate effectively.
• Valid driver's license meeting company insurability requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb elevated platforms and ladders, use hand tools, and work in extreme weather conditions.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check and be able to respond to after-hours callouts.

Nice to have

• Experience with natural gas compressor stations and pipeline system operations.
• Familiarity with Maximo, Ops Info, WMS, SAP, or similar maintenance tracking systems.
• Experience with pipeline damage prevention activities.
• Ability to read blueprints, P&IDs, and other schematics.
