Maintenance Mechanic (Crude Oil)

Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico, United States. On-site work with 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment in a crude oil operating environment.
• Maintain centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, valves, piping systems, and fluid handling equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and equipment rebuilds.
• Use performance assessment software for condition monitoring and equipment diagnostics.
• Maintain and repair leaking valves, pumps, connectors, and other equipment supporting the air quality monitoring program.
• Document maintenance activities accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of mechanical concepts, equipment maintenance, repairs, testing, inspections, and technical drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
• Ability to identify hazards, follow safety procedures, use personal protective equipment, and apply lockout/tagout practices.
