Operations Tech (Industrial Gas Manufacturing)

Location: Baytown, Texas, United States; onsite work with 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Interplant travel and operational support are required for four local satellite plants.

What you will do

• Operate multiple gas manufacturing units, including cryogenic air separation, hydrogen purification, compression, boiler, refrigeration, and utility systems.
• Use digital control systems to monitor, trend, troubleshoot, and control equipment, processes, and utilities.
• Maintain water chemistry for package boilers, waterbath vaporizers, and cooling towers.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot analytical equipment used in live processes and utility systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, safety inspections, plant log readings, electronic safe work permits, equipment cleaning and inerting, and LOTO.
• Support cryogenic liquid trailer loading, chemical offloading, and operations at local satellite plants.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five years of experience in continuous plant process operations, maintenance, and industrial process equipment.
• Ability to read and understand P&IDs and electrical single-line diagrams.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and strong communication skills.
• Valid, clean driver’s license and ability to qualify for a TWIC card.
• Ability to work onsite in Baytown, travel between local plants, work rotating 12-hour shifts, perform elevated work, and lift at least 50 pounds.
