2027 Business Analyst & Planning Co-op Student (Power BI)

hirify.global is hiring for a co-op role supporting operations planning, capital portfolio governance, financial planning, and business analytics.

What you will do

• Support governance and administration of the Midstream Maintenance Capital portfolio, including portfolio databases, spending forecasts, AFEs, performance metrics, and reporting packages.
• Maintain, validate, and enhance Power BI dashboards and recurring operational, financial, and management reports.
• Analyze data from multiple systems to identify trends, opportunities, reporting discrepancies, and data quality issues.
• Support G&A planning, labour allocation analysis, variance analysis, and preparation of planning inputs.
• Contribute to demand planning, integrated planning, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Corporate teams on planning and investment decisions.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in business, economics, business analytics, data analytics, finance, accounting, statistics, mathematics, engineering, MIS, computer science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work with large datasets.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis techniques.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI and data visualization tools.
• Experience with JD Edwards, Workday, Power BI, or financial systems.
• Interest in business planning, capital investment governance, operations, or energy infrastructure.
