Field Sales Merchandiser (Grocery Retail)

Location: Burlington, Vermont, United States; must live within the assigned territory boundaries. The role involves daily travel across a 100+ mile grocery retail territory, early morning starts at 7:00 a.m., minimal overnight travel as needed, and required travel to Los Angeles, California 3–4 times per year.

Wonderful Sales manages sales and merchandising for consumer brands including Wonderful Pistachios, POM Wonderful, Wonderful Halos, FIJI Water, and JUSTIN Wine across supermarkets and retailers in the United States and Canada.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain relationships with more than 100 grocery retail accounts within the assigned territory.
• Build, move, stock, and rotate displays for Wonderful brand products.
• Identify optimal in-store product placement and maintain schematic integrity during remodels and grand openings.
• Sell, upsell, and maintain distribution of authorized products across assigned stores.
• Execute marketing initiatives, point-of-sale programs, coupon programs, and retailer-specific merchandising plans.
• Record field data using company handheld devices and provide daily chain-specific communication.

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience promoting grocery products, preferably in food and beverage.
• Strong selling, negotiation, partnership-building, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
• Experience managing a large store territory and substantial daily drive time.
• Ability to work independently, remain detail-oriented, solve problems, and meet goals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Clean driving record, ability to lift 50 pounds, and availability for a 7:00 a.m. start time are required.
