Senior HR Business Partner (AI Security)

Location: Hybrid role based in the Austin, TX office with in-office presence required three days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Support R&D Americas engineering leadership with talent planning, development conversations, and regional execution of global talent programs.
• Define and improve leveling frameworks, compensation bands, promotion cycles, and career architecture using market data and internal equity analysis.
• Lead organization design discussions as the engineering organization scales, anticipating structural gaps, redundancies, and decision-making challenges.
• Own employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, team feedback, and identification of cultural or structural issues.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Finance, and corporate HR on people strategy, change initiatives, and cross-functional organizational priorities.
• Build dashboards and analytical narratives covering leveling distribution, compensation equity, retention, promotion velocity, and hiring pipeline health.

Requirements

• 8+ years of HRBP or strategic HR experience, including at least 5+ years supporting R&D, engineering, or technical organizations.
• Deep experience in technology companies and an understanding of engineering career development, motivation, leveling, and management progression.
• Demonstrated expertise in leveling frameworks, compensation banding, and career architecture.
• Strong analytical and data-driven approach, with experience using AI tools, Excel, dashboards, and workforce metrics.
• Track record of change management, business-case development, stakeholder influence, and communication with senior leaders.
• U.S. work authorization without employment-based visa sponsorship is required; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Global or multi-country HR experience.
• Experience scaling an engineering organization from approximately 30 to 300 engineers or a similar growth stage.
• Familiarity with AI/ML, cybersecurity, or other complex technical domains.
• Experience improving promotion and leveling processes, compensation equity analysis, and market benchmarking.
