Junior Operational Readiness Specialist (Industrial Projects)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA, United States. This is an in-office role with time spent in field environments, intermittent travel of up to 80% from Monday to Friday, and possible short-term field assignments.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain operational readiness plans, schedules, action logs, dashboards, and status reports.
• Support readiness assessments, milestone reviews, field walkthroughs, startup planning, commissioning, and post-startup stabilization.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, project management, training, safety, and site teams.
• Organize operating and maintenance procedures, work instructions, startup documentation, and document-control activities.
• Coordinate training programs, schedules, job aids, training materials, and competency assessments.
• Track readiness gaps, punch-list items, mitigation actions, turnover deliverables, and the transfer of systems to site operations and maintenance teams.

Requirements

• Recent or upcoming university or college graduate with a relevant bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, computer, mechanical, chemical, or process engineering.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; an official or unofficial transcript must be submitted with the application.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in both office and field environments, travel intermittently up to 80%, and accept short-term field assignments.

Nice to have

• Co-op experience in project execution, commissioning, or construction on an industrial project.
• Experience or exposure to heavy industrial, manufacturing, mining, energy, steel, chemical, maintenance planning, or operational support environments.
