RTL Design Engineer (AI)

Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands; expected to work in the office 4+ days per week

What you will do

• Design, implement, and debug AI hardware IPs for wearable devices.
• Define micro-architectures and complete RTL design, gate-level synthesis, and PPA optimization.
• Develop and maintain regression, synthesis, linting, and power-analysis flows.
• Analyze code coverage and collaborate with verification engineers on coverage closure.
• Work with R&D teams focused on neural-network design, AI compilers, and operating systems.
• Document designs, processes, and technical decisions clearly.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in RTL hardware design and/or verification.
• MSc in electrical engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with RTL design methodologies and Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
• Experience with DfX topics including testability, MBIST and repair, yield enhancement, test patterns, memory ECC, and debug infrastructure.
• At least 2 years of programming or scripting experience with languages such as C, C++, or Python.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; regular office presence in Eindhoven is expected.

Nice to have

• Experience designing CPUs, GPUs, NPUs, image-signal-processing, or computer-vision components.
• Understanding of timing, area, and power impacts in silicon design.
• Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, or neuromorphic computing.
• Experience with coverage analysis, Git, and requirement-management practices.
