Quantum R&D Measurement Engineer

Location: Delft, Netherlands; on-site with a hybrid setup

What you will do

• Execute DC, RF, and microwave measurement routines on test structures and quantum processors at room temperature and cryogenic temperatures.
• Collect, process, and document measurement data for fabrication process development, device design, and integration projects.
• Operate and maintain cryogenic systems, microwave instrumentation, and automated test environments.
• Provide experimental feedback and execution support across system development stage gates.
• Troubleshoot technical anomalies, wiring issues, noise sources, and measurement setup configurations.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with electrical and RF laboratory equipment, including VNAs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, or signal generators.
• Experience operating cryogenic measurement setups in an industrial or academic environment.
• Basic Python skills for data processing, analysis, or instrument control.
• Strong interest in laboratory execution, test automation, and data acquisition, with a detail-oriented approach to measurement accuracy.

Nice to have

• PhD in a relevant field.
• Familiarity with superconducting qubits, low-temperature physics, or microwave engineering principles.
