Pipeline Integrity Engineer (AI/ML)

What you will do

• Shape the pipeline integrity product roadmap with Product Management and Software Engineering.
• Translate API 1160, ASME B31.8S, ASME B31.8, and related regulations into functional requirements, technical specifications, and calculation logic.
• Validate product behavior against real pipeline data and bring operator perspectives into design reviews, prototypes, and usability sessions.
• Lead customer process reviews, implementation, configuration, data migration, training, and post-go-live technical support.
• Represent hirify.global at conferences, standards committees, user groups, and industry working groups.
• Support sales and pre-sales with technical demonstrations, deep-dives, proposals, and customer-facing content.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in pipeline integrity, preferably in Oil & Gas, Chemicals, or Petrochemicals.
• Operator-side experience with direct accountability for pipeline integrity decisions.
• Strong knowledge of threat identification, risk assessment, inspection and ILI planning, ILI data interpretation, anomaly assessment, and fitness-for-service methods including ASME B31G, RSTRENG, and API 579.
• Understanding of degradation mechanisms and mitigation methods including cathodic protection, coatings, chemical treatment, and above-ground surveys.
• Familiarity with AIM or APM tools, digital integrity solutions, data quality, data structures, and data limitations.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work cross-functionally in short product-development cycles.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in pipeline engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered or Professional Engineer status.
• Knowledge of ISO, NACE, AMPP, or other pipeline standards and certifications.
• Experience with standards bodies, joint industry projects, published papers, conferences, webinars, or pipeline integrity software implementations.
• Experience working with global operators.
