AI Engineering Platform Engineer

Location: Remote across the listed European countries: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Berlin and London offices are also listed. Visa sponsorship is available for Germany; for other countries, existing right to work is required.

What you will do

• Define safe task categories, guardrails, permissions, and human-review requirements for autonomous coding agents.
• Design isolated execution environments that protect secrets and sensitive systems.
• Build agent workflows that select Linear issues, run tests, and generate draft pull requests.
• Create repository instructions, agent playbooks, ownership metadata, coding guidelines, and PR evidence templates.
• Integrate agentic workflows with GitHub, Linear, CI, testing infrastructure, developer environments, and review processes.
• Develop benchmarks and quality metrics covering agent output, failure modes, test results, review burden, adoption, and production risk.

Requirements

• Experience with autonomous coding agents, AI coding platforms, agent orchestration, or internal AI developer tooling.
• Strong software engineering foundations in platform engineering, developer experience, infrastructure, tooling, CI/CD, or engineering productivity.
• Practical knowledge of GitHub, CI, testing strategies, code review, monorepos, issue tracking, developer environments, and release risk.
• Experience with permissions, secrets, sandboxing, least-privilege access, sensitive code paths, and human-in-the-loop review.
• Ability to design benchmarks, quality signals, failure-mode tracking, and adoption metrics, and to lead ambiguous technical initiatives from pilot through iteration.
• English is the company language; existing right to work is required outside Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with large TypeScript, Node.js, or JavaScript monorepos.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Linear, automated testing infrastructure, preview environments, or internal developer platforms.
• Experience with AI evaluation frameworks, open-source communities, B2B SaaS, workflow automation, or AI orchestration.
