Systems Administrator (Linux)

Location: 100% onsite in Westford, Massachusetts; must be within 100 miles of Lexington, MA. US citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required.

What you will do

• Support upgrades, maintenance, and operations for three high-power radar systems, including the Haystack Ultra-wideband Satellite Imaging Radar.
• Specify, design, implement, and test network and computer system configurations and upgrades.
• Develop and implement network security plans in accordance with government and organizational policies.
• Diagnose hardware, software, network, and system performance issues; recommend upgrades and improvements.
• Perform data backups and recoveries and assist staff with computer and network issues.
• Coordinate procurement, installation, licensing, upgrades, and other services with vendors, security personnel, and system administrators.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance or higher, ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance, and US citizenship.
• Must work onsite and live within 100 miles of Lexington, Massachusetts.
• At least five years of systems administration experience.
• At least three years of experience with Linux, hardware and software troubleshooting, network troubleshooting, scripting and task automation, system documentation, and security plans or Risk Management Framework compliance.
• Knowledge of DoD Directive 8140, system security procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, documentation, multitasking, and independent problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with VMware ESX, Cisco or Juniper, NetApp, Networker, Nagios, and Ansible.
• Mission-critical environment experience.
• Knowledge of Perl, Python, C, or C++.
