IT Systems Administrator (Boston)

What you will do

• Administer Jamf Pro and Jamf Connect across the macOS fleet, including enrollment, configuration, patching, deployment, and compliance.
• Manage JumpCloud for Windows and Linux endpoints and support macOS, Windows, Linux, mobile devices, virtual machines, servers, and peripherals.
• Manage Apple Business Manager, device enrollment, app licensing, managed Apple IDs, and the full IT asset lifecycle.
• Run onboarding, offboarding, and role-change processes, including device preparation, account setup, access changes, and equipment recovery.
• Own the Jira support queue, resolve recurring issues, maintain documentation, and collaborate with IT teams, departments, stakeholders, and vendors.

Requirements

• On-site work in Boston, MA is required.
• 4+ years of experience in IT support, IT operations, systems administration, or endpoint/device management.
• Jamf certification and hands-on production experience with Jamf Pro and Jamf Connect for macOS fleets.
• Experience supporting Windows and Linux systems, including server administration, as well as macOS.
• Experience with JumpCloud or a similar MDM/directory platform, Apple Business Manager, and iOS/Android device management.
• Strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, and proactive improvement skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of LAN/Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing.
• Experience with Jira, Okta or similar SSO platforms, and Apple certifications.
• Jamf Certified Expert or Jamf 300/400-level certification.
• Scripting and automation experience with Bash, Python, or similar tools.
• Experience owning projects from planning through delivery.
