AV Operations Support Technician

Location: Full-time, on-site in Plano, Texas, Monday through Friday

Pay rate: $35–$45 per hour, W-2 only. Duration: 12 months, with a possibility of extension and/or conversion to FTE.

What you will do

• Support, maintain, and optimize workplace audiovisual infrastructure across conference rooms, Zoom calls, video conferences, and other AV-enabled environments.
• Configure AV hardware, perform break/fix support, troubleshoot issues, and optimize AV systems.
• Support the Zoom ecosystem, including Zoom Rooms, Zoom Device Management, and Zoom Digital Signage.
• Troubleshoot conference room equipment, controllers, audio systems, DSPs, desktop platforms, operating systems, networking, and related infrastructure.
• Manage ITIL-based incident workflows, document resolutions, perform UAT, and maintain AV asset inventory records.
• Collaborate with technical teams and end users and provide assigned on-call support, including occasional after-hours and weekend work.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least one year of technical support or operations experience, including IT systems, networking, and infrastructure.
• At least one year of experience with desktop platforms, operating systems, and incident management or reporting tools.
• Foundational understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure, with experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Understanding of conference room and audiovisual equipment, plus strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Plano, Texas and participate in on-call assignments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Zoom, Zoom Rooms, Zoom Device Management, or Zoom Digital Signage.
• Experience with Poly, Biamp, Crestron, AV controllers, or audio digital signal processors.
• Experience with ITIL incident management processes, UAT, or AV and IT asset inventory databases.
