Consultant, Data Risk (12-months Fixed Term)

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid arrangement with 1–2 days per week on-site

What you will do

• Conduct Data and Records Risk Assessments for projects and internal risk processes.
• Apply data governance policies, standards, procedures, controls, and service-level agreements.
• Support risk assessments including CIRA, RCSA, Technology Triage, and TPRA.
• Investigate quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate risk exposure and develop risk profiles.
• Engage business partners, project teams, data governance teams, and functional stakeholders on risk-related issues.
• Support regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of the enterprise data governance practice.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in information management, data management, business administration, project management, policy, or a related field.
• Experience in risk management, application security, information security, control testing, data governance, data analysis, or information management.
• Understanding of risk management frameworks, risk assessments, mitigation practices, data management, and data lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Suite and the ability to work independently in a high-volume environment.
• Must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
