Senior Engineering Project Manager (Refining)

Location: Onsite in Carson, California, United States. Available schedules are 9/80, 5/40, or 4/1, with occasional after-hours calls and annual turnaround support. Travel is 5% or less.

Salary: $122,900–$212,000 annually.

What you will do

• Manage multiple capital and expense mid-cap projects valued at approximately $1 million–$25 million each.
• Lead projects from conceptual engineering through completion, including scope definition, cost estimates, schedules, construction work packages, execution, and closeout.
• Oversee project deliverables and performance against cost, schedule, safety, quality, and approved execution plans.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to protect milestones and objectives.
• Manage multidisciplinary resources, assign activities, and coordinate contractors across project phases.
• Communicate status, issues, deviations, and expectations with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering completed before the start date.
• At least seven years of combined project management or project engineering experience in refining, petrochemical, or related oil and gas industries.
• Strong planning, coordination, self-direction, and project management process skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to perform field work, wear refinery PPE including a respirator, and complete required drug testing and physical examinations.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without future visa sponsorship and must work onsite in Carson.
