Construction Project Manager

Location: Must reside in or near the Chicago area or be willing to relocate to the Chicago area. In-person site visits and client meetings are required 1–2 days per week, with occasional overnight travel of up to 25%.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead construction programs and work with existing clients on large-scale projects or multiple programs.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, constructors, vendors, and client stakeholders throughout design and construction.
• Manage program budgets, schedules, procurement, invoices, billings, pay applications, and lender procedures.
• Advise clients on risks, mitigation strategies, contracting methods, scheduling, budgets, and issue resolution.
• Evaluate design and construction issues, RFIs, and submittals throughout construction.
• Prepare client presentations and project updates while ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management from an accredited college or university.
• 8+ years of experience in building, design, and construction, including project management, construction administration, or construction field management.
• Large-scale residential, commercial, or institutional construction field experience and knowledge of construction best practices.
• Understanding of the design process that drives scope and budget development.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Construction cost estimating experience.
• Vertical construction experience.
• Experience with senior living or multifamily housing design or construction.
• Bilingual Japanese and English or Chinese and English qualifications.
